no, actually lately ive been really into science fiction and pshycology. and that kind of stuff. You know what scientology has been busying their propaganda with. How Shrinks are the stronghold of not setting your mind free. Also robotic chaos and effects of internet, surveillience etc.

im not trying to find right or wrong and im not interested in the members of scientology either. Its more, the future households im interested in. If we a day wake up selling coca cola to aliens, or inhabiting other solar systems. not even that i guess. Just futurism and magnetic transportation of feelings and stuff like this. How quickly humans has made use of random smileys that explains everything and nothing. how useless these things are for a more serious endangering conversation. Say JFK and Castro were having a chat about a third world war breaking out on the basics of nuclear warfare. And Castro send JFK a blinking smiley. Who knows what that means, “should we team up” “is it a joke” “is he being ironic” or is it a friendly wink.

they need about 10 mins in cold water and a little bit of care. a whole in the ozone layers makes cyanotype really fast.

had a argument with my printer this morning and it almost got violent.

Bas from Subbacultcha Magazine asked me to do these illustrations of animals for a feature in the magazine and of course I wanted to, cause i had to draw an Ant, a buffalo, a snake, and a cow healer. So it wasnt boring subjects.

you can also read the magazine here, its on page 19-23. (you have to press on the word “here”. and my favorite is probably the buffalo. or the cow. I also want to apologise to all the people who loves ants for drawing a mosquito bug instead of the ant. I am drawing an ant soon.

scrmn reports – from the summer of tape

man its warm today. its officially to warm to be in the studio now. but i can still get stuff done in the apartment. but the studio is hot as a radioactive zone.

me and noelson has almost finished painting number 3 of the series of huge Scrmn vs Noelson paintings. this one featuring the circus bear.

yesterday,the two stutters were back in the studio,working hard as usual on their third giant black painting,,
after some long hours,cheap german beers and swindling their good friend matt out of some hard earn cash at the poker table they erased over half the painting and started from scratch,, today was a great day for painting and the boys actualy went on to make what they think is their best yet.(too bad scrmn got the title wrong again!). this photo is living proof that noelson does do some work and doesn’t just sit in the corner drinking whisky and mumbling to himself..

so, this tape obsession is really taking over in the studio. I think i will rename this summer, from being sommer of 2010 to The Summer of Tape.

this is take two on the summer tape collages. it features the super dog, Fillo. Fillo was mine and my sisters dog. Anyway, i think i have a first pet syndrome with her as i measure all animals against her. For example, how sweet is a animal on the fillo scale. Fillo being in the top. but for example, in inteligence and instinct fillo was maybe 6/10. All in all she was the best.

anyway. back to tape. So on this one i introduced the yellowtoned office tape. So im working with 4 different everyday tapes. Yellow toned, grainy toned, clear tape, and clear tape that often gets a little muddy but is more glossy. im fan of the yellow tape at the moment.

i also got invited to a group expo in Germany. More about that later cause i dont know anything about really at the moment.

today its 26 degrees which is my favorite temperature. between 25-30 suits scrmn. the studio is 46 degrees warm cause its just under the roof so tomorrow when me and noelson is getting started on the 3rd of the big big big paintings it will be a very warm painting session. probably we need about 12 cold cervezas to cool the whole thing down so we dont get into a argument about where on the painting its best to add a dead squirrel.
